Sir Ezeakolam Nwogwugwu is a native of Ahiaba Okpuala, Ngwaukwu, in Isiala Ngwa north L.G.A, Abia state. After his primary and part of his secondary education in London, England, he proceeded to Emmanuel college, Owerri, Imo state where he obtained his West African School Certificate, with Distinction.

 He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc)Honours Degree in Biochemistry from University of Nigeria, Nsukka; Post Graduate Diploma in Management from University of Calabar; Master of Business Administration from University of Calabar; Master of Science(M.Sc) in Public Health from National Open University of Nigeria. Sir Ezeakolam is a Chief Lecturer in the Department of Public Health, Abia State College of Health Sciences and Management Technology, Aba; and has served in various capacities in the college.

He has numerous books and journal pubications, and conference/seminar papers to his credit. Sir Ezeakolam is a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Environmental and Public Health Management of Nigeria. He is married with children.
